BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke) was founded in 1916 and it is luxury automobile, motorcycle and engine manufacturer. It also owns Mini cars and it is the parent company of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. BMW history and the latest models of BMW cars can be seen in BMW Museum and BMW Welt which are located near BMW factory in Munich.
In BMW Museum Munich you can see the history of BMW manufacturer from early beginnings to future car concepts.
During our visit there was also Rolls-Royce Exhibition presenting history of this prestigious brand.
The latest models of BMW cars can be seen in BMW Welt. Entrance in BMW Welt is free of charge while entrance in BMW Museum is 10 EUR.
If you want to see how these luxury cars are made you can take the tour of the BMW Group plant which takes you through all production phases. But you have to book tickets for guided tour of the plant well in advance because these tours are always fully booked.
BMW Museum Munich is located near Olympiapark which was opened for the 1972 Summer Olympics but today park serves as place for public events, various entertainment and cultural activities.
