22.10.2016

Bratislava is the state capital of Slovakia, charming country that lies in Central Europe. Bratislava is located in the south-western part of Slovakia, just few kilometres from the border with Austria and Hungary. City of Bratislava lies on both banks of Danube River and it is just one-hour drive from Vienna.

Three the most charming spots of Bratislava:

Bratislava Castle
Top spot in Bratislava is certainly Bratislava Castle above the Danube. It is easy reachable from the Old Town - a few minute walk uphill. Castle offers great view over Bratislava city, Bratislava Old Town and the Danube. In Castle Restaurant you can have a dinner or just a drink with splendid view.

Danube River, UFO Bridge & Tower
Just a few minute walk from the Old Town there is Bratislava New Bridge (Nový most) or so called the UFO Bridge with UFO Tower. Structure that looks like flying saucer is on the top of the tower. An elevator, located in one of the pillars, takes you to the top (7 EUR per person) where the restaurant and the observation deck are located. From the observation deck you have amazing view over Bratislava and its surroundings. On the banks of Danube River there are many restaurants and bars and if you have time you can take Danube River cruise – you will enjoy it.
