Dubai, the city of the tallest skyscrapers, the most luxurious hotels, the most expensive cars, the largest shopping centers, the most incredible attractions – has become one of the most luxurious holiday destinations in the world. New hotel complexes are growing and growing, so tourism is one of the most profitable industries which bring income to Dubai. Must see in Dubai is certainly the tallest building in the world Burj Khalifa, with over 828 meters (2.716,5 feet) and more than 160 stories. The ultra fast elevator takes you to the 124th floor, where the observation deck is located. A lot of tourists visit Burj Khalifa every day, so it is very helpful if the entrance tickets are booked in advance.
Because we visited Dubai in July, which seems to be low tourist season, we did not have long queue at the entrance. Entrance prices are from 25 EUR (28 USD) per person, depends on the hour of the visit. The view of the city from the tallest building in the world is amazing, especially at night.
Astonishing is also ballet dance of the largest choreographed fountain system in the world - The Dubai Fountain at Burj Khalifa Lake. The fountain show is performed every day, every half of hour in the afternoon and in the evening. The combination of music, water and light, with 6.600 lights, 25 color projectors, water jets up to a height of 45 story building, sounds of classical, Arabic and modern music, makes the show magical. We decided to see the fountain show from the lake, so we took an electric boat for a romantic ride. From there we have been able to admire closely the dancing water jets. Price for 30 minutes boat ride on Burj Khalifa Lake is about 25 EUR (28 USD).
Must see in Dubai is also The Dubai Mall, the largest shopping center in the world with more than 1.200 stores; with the largest representation of fashion brands under the same roof. Shopping can satisfy the average customers on one hand and very demanding customers of the most luxurious fashion brands on the other hand. The Mall of the Emirates also offers shopping paradise; inside the mall there is the attraction of Dubai, Ski Dubai, an indoor ski resort and snow park, where visitors and residents of Dubai, where outside temperature is 30, 40 degrees Celsius or even more in the summer, can ski on the icy ski slope. You do not need to worry for ski equipment and clothing because you can rent it in front of the resort.
Marina Dubai offers luxurious residential appartments and hotels and it is one the most expending part of Dubai.
For us Dubai was unforgettable experience with many things to see and do. By all means we put Dubai on our must see list.
